Advance Your Trauma Care Skills with the Advanced Trauma Course (ATC)

Elevate your impact in emergency medical services!

The Advanced Trauma Course (ATC) is your gateway to mastering the latest in trauma care. This innovative course merges cutting-edge science, evidence-based practices, and advanced educational techniques, ensuring you're prepared for high-pressure situations where every second counts and patient outcomes hinge on your expertise.

 Why Enroll in ATC?

- Transform Knowledge into Action: The ATC is designed to equip healthcare professionals—nurses, paramedics, technicians, and physicians—with standardized trauma knowledge and essential psychomotor skills. By fostering a systems-based approach, you’ll contribute to a significant reduction in morbidity and mortality among trauma patients.

 - Respond to a Global Crisis: Trauma is one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide, responsible for 16% of the global disease burden and claiming over five million lives annually, as reported by the World Health Organization. With the ATC, you’ll be at the forefront of making a difference in this critical area of healthcare.

 Break Free from Outdated Practices

For too long, trauma care has been bogged down by ineffective debates, like the “golden hour” myth, which lacks substantial evidence. The ATC challenges these outdated concepts, focusing on an integrated approach to trauma care that encompasses every phase—from prehospital interventions to patient discharge.

Recent advancements in trauma care, including the latest 2023 ILCOR Guidelines, underscore the importance of timely interventions. Studies show that administering blood products in the field can significantly boost survival rates. With ATC, you’ll learn how to implement these life-saving techniques effectively.

The ATC Course is Grounded in the Latest Scientific Guidelines

Our curriculum is built upon the most current and relevant scientific research, including:

  • International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) Guidelines: Incorporating updates from 2015, 2017, 2020, and 2023 to ensure the latest evidence is at the forefront of trauma care.
  • Congress of Neurological Surgeons Science Guidelines: Drawing from expert consensus to enhance neurological care in trauma situations.
  • American College of Surgeons – Committee on Trauma Guidelines: Implementing best practices established by leaders in surgical trauma care.
  • World Health Organization Guidelines for Essential Trauma Care: Aligning with global standards set by the International Society of Surgery, Société Internationale de Chirurgie, and the International Association for the Surgery of Trauma and Surgical Intensive Care.
  • Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Guidelines: Utilizing the latest recommendations from the 2011 publication (Vol 3, Number 7) to enhance emergency department practices.

 Course Highlights
