First Aid, CPR, and AED Course Overview (K-12) 

  • Curriculum Provider: American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Certification Validity: 2 Years
  • Course Format: Instructor-led, video-based learning with hands-on skills verification

This course is designed for individuals with little or no medical training who require certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED use for employment, regulatory compliance, or other professional needs.

Training is delivered through an instructor-led format that integrates AHA video instruction with interactive skill practice sessions. Participants will engage in hands-on learning and skill assessments throughout the program, ensuring competency in life-saving techniques. Course content is based on the latest AHA guidelines and includes the following modules:

  • Fundamentals of First Aid
  • Managing Medical Emergencies
  • Responding to Injury Emergencies
  • Handling Environmental Emergencies
  • Adult CPR and AED Usage
  • Optional Modules: Child CPR, AED Use, and Infant CPR

Healthcare providers may be required to complete a different certification course, such as the CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. If this applies to you, please refer to the "Offered Classes" section for more details and online registration. 

BLS PROVIDER - BLENDED LEARNING

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.

 Payment & Promo Code Policy

NOTE - If you register using a credit card and later switch to a promo code, a $10.00 administrative fee will apply. If you are unsure, please contact our offices before completing your registration.

Promo codes are available for employees of contracted organizations. You are responsible for any costs if your employer does not cover the class fee. If you have questions about eligibility, contact your manager or our offices at (855) 739-2257 before registering.

Changing Class Dates / Illness

If you need to change your class date due to illness or other circumstances, contact our offices. If you register for an additional course instead of rescheduling, you may be responsible for the additional course fee.
